Dick DeVos, son of Rich DeVos who is a co-founder of Amway co-founder, has a stellar professional career successfully serving in various executive positions for several companies. He began his career at his Amway Corporation in 1974 where he served in several positions under various departments and divisions for a decade. These appointments in various positions and divisions gave him a wide knowledge of the market and most importantly, the company and its operations. This played a key role in determining his rise through the ranks of the company. In 1984, he joined the company’s executive management team when he was promoted to serve as the vice president. He held the position up to 1990 before being appointed as the chief executive officer and president of Orlando Magic basketball team in 1991. The team had been acquired by his family.

 

 

In 1993, Dick DeVos, a Northwood University graduate, was appointed the president of Amway Corporation. He held the position up to 2002 when he joined Windquest Group as its president. He is still serving as the company’s president, 15 years since his appointment. Dick DeVos’ career profile is marked by professional versatility, which has seen him serve successfully in various positions and divisions. He is also the founder and current chairman of West Michigan Aviation Academy. In addition, is also the current vice chairman of Willow Creek Association, a position he has held since 2007.
